The county hall was designed and constructed with the sense of community in mind with a new image to replace the unfriendly stereotype of the traditional public administration building with that of a welcoming center open to the public. The design of the space and facilities of the building reflects a traditional cultural past. The main development sectors which include the public facilities occupies 112 hectares of the area. Yilan County Hall is joined by the relocated Yilan County Council building, Local Court and District Attorney's Office.
